Philocale auction house, in Orleans, in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal will auction a French early 19th century patined bronze gueridon, Thursday 30th June in Orleans.

Guéridon en bronze ciselé, patiné et doré, le fût en balustre cannelé en partie supérieure à base feuillagée et bague godronnée à piétement tripode en jarret surmonté d'enroulements feuillagés et palmettes.
Circa 1830
Plateau en marbre beige et brun postérieur
H. 77 Diam. 80 cm

Note :
Notre guéridon appartient à un corpus de meubles restreint réalisé entièrement en bronze présentant des variations même si le piétement en jarret est une constante.
Juliette Niclausse dans son ouvrage sur Thomire (Paris, 1947) signale un « Grand guéridon en bronze ciselé et doré. La ceinture est ornée d'une succession d'étoiles, les pieds se terminent en griffes. Signé Thomire (chez M. C. à Paris). Diamètre 1m00 environ »
