CARLIER Emile-François (1827-1879).
Paire de vases couverts formant brûle-parfum en bronze ciselé doré reposant sur une base carrée à filets de perles.
Riche ornementation d'amours, guirlandes de pampres, triglyphes, gouttes et entrelacs.
Anses de préhension soutenue par les têtes de bélier.
Signature en creux E. Carlier sur la panse au centre.
Style néoclassique, 2nde moitié du XIXe siècle.
Une anse cassée à refixer.
H. 38 cm L. 22 cm

Note :
le sculpteur parisien Emile-François Carlier a collaboré avec Emile Froment-Meurice.
De cette collaboration est née notamment un surtout de table, commandé par Napoléon III, présenté à l'exposition universelle de 1867, aujourd'hui conservé au musée des arts décoratifs de Paris
