Vluation of a French Empire ormolu clock in our next auction in Saint-Cloud


Column Appraisal and valuation, Furniture and works of art

Le Floc'h auction house, in Saint-Cloud, in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal will auction a French Empire ormolu clock, Sunday 14th May in Saint-Cloud.

 

Pendule à figures en bronze ciselé doré, mat et brillant sur une base en marbre vert de mer à six pieds en toupie, représentant Vénus désarmant l’Amour, assise sur une méridienne, le socle de forme oblogue enserrant le cadran circulaire en émail blanc à chiffres romains et arabes en noir signés Chles LeComte à Paris dans des branchages de myrte noués flanqués de naïades (égrenures au marbre et à l’émail, mouvement modifié, manque le timbre et la flèche de Cupidon).

Epoque Empire.

Haut. : 48 - Larg. : 40 - Prof. : 14 cm

 

Note : Charles Lecomte, reçu maître en 1785, fut principalement actif sous l’Empire et la Restauration.
