Le Floc'h auction house in Paris and Saint-Cloud, in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal will auction a bronze sculpture by Antoine-Louis Barye, tigre devorant un glavial, Sunday 11th of October in Saint-Cloud.

 

Antoine-Louis BARYE (1795-1875).

Tigre dévorant un gavial.

Bronze à patine médaille (oxydations) signé et daté «BARYE 1836» et estampillé sur la terrasse.

Porte le numéro D262 à l’encre à l’intérieur.

Haut. : 11 cm - Larg. : 27,5 cm - Prof. : 10,5 cm

Modèle créé en 1836 ; fonte ancienne entre 1838 et 1850.

 

Provenance :

- ancienne collection Léon Campagnola (1875-1955), ténor à l'Opéra de Paris vers 1919-1920

- collection particulière par descendance, vallée de la Bièvre

- collection particulière parisienne.
