Column Appraisal and valuation, Furniture and works of art

Sequana auctioneer in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal will auction a rare French late 19th century cigars humidor, Saturday 23nd February in Rouen.

 

Cave à cigares en placage de loupe, toutes faces mouvementées, à décor de rivets métalliques argentés et dorés, le dessus timbré d’un écu monogrammé aux putti portant les attributs des arts. L’intérieur en placage de bois de rose aménagé en plusieurs compartiments selon les modules.

NOTE :
Louis Gradé, présent en 1852 au 9, rue Caste et en 1856 au 23, rue de la Paix, la première adresse étant certainement celle des ateliers et la seconde celle du magasin. Il participe à l’Exposition Universelle de Londres de 1851 avec une mention honorable. A partir de 1866, la maison prend la dénomination de Louis GRADÉ ET PELCOT.
