Valaution of a Sormani parquetry and Chinese laquer panels sideboard in our next auction in Orleans


Column Appraisal and valuation, Furniture and works of art

Philocale auctioneer in Orleans (France) in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal will auction an important French Regence kingwood and Chinese lacquer panels sideboard by Sormani, circa 1900, auction on Saturday 10th November at chateau de La Fontaine, Olivet.

 

Importante enfilade à ressaut central et angles arrondis en placage de bois de violette en chevron. Elle ouvre par quatre vantaux à panneaux en laque de Chine à décor de bouquets de fleurs polychrome sur fond noir et trois tiroirs en ceinture et repose sur une plinthe découpée. Plateau en marbre rouge des Flandres.
Garniture de bronzes ciselés et dorés tels que entrées de serrure, tablier, boutons de tirage et baguettes d'encadrement.
Par Sormani, non signé.

Notre enfilade forme pendant avec une enfilade signée Sormani ayant fait partie des collections de la Maison LECOULES, 62 rue Taitbout, 75009 Paris.
Paul Sormani (1817-1877), célèbre ébéniste parisien établit à Paris en 1847. À sa mort, en 1878, sa veuve Ursule Marie Philippines et son fils Paul-Charles reprennent son activité sous la raison sociale " Sormani Veuve Paul et Fils ".
